I've been sitting in front of the computer for a while thinking about my post this week. Last week was a quiet one. My eldest son Gabriel was sick home for most of the week, so there was little to do outside the home, especially over the weekend as he was recovering. The only exception was for a trip to the doctors then a surprise trip, on doctors orders, to the Royal Children's Hospital. Gabriel has now recovered and is feeling much better, and probably glad to be out of bed and back to school! I also think his brother missed having his playmate up and about.
Being kept indoors looking after Gabriel most of the week gave me the opportunity to get creative and inspirational. My love for the beach and anything tropical is reflected in this canvas. Don't get me wrong I love the country too! I think anywhere you can go to enjoy the 'getting back to nature' surroundings seems to recharge the batteries. It certainly does for me.
Over the past couple of weeks Brad, the boys and I have been watching shows such as Discover Downunder and What's Up Downunder. These two shows get the travelling bug deep within going. Australia has such a wonderful and diverse landscape. We all look forward to the day when we can buy a caravan, hit the road and discover the wonders that are off the beaten track.
Don't get me wrong, I would also love to travel overseas and see what the world has to offer...may take a little longer than hitting the road!
Psst...don't tell anyone, but I also have the full set of the Leyland Brothers DVD's...
Where is your favourite place to visit and recharge?
