Time Flies!!

Welcome!

I can't believe it's already been a fortnight since my last entry.  It never ceases to astound me how fast time goes by.  When I was young my parents used to say, "the older you get, the faster time goes by".  How right they were!  I am now telling the boys to enjoy being young and relish the simple things in life.

Speaking of time flying, shops are adorned with Christmas decorations, which only means one thing... Christmas is almost here!  Santa's sleigh isn't too far away.... again.

As the boys get older Brad and I find ourselves in a dilemma as to what to get them for Christmas. We find they are moving away from 'toys'  and are more inclined to play 'electronics'.  Brad and I would love to get the boys the new PS4, but are concerned at the level of maturity and violence in the majority of these games.  There doesn't seem to be a wide variety of non-violent 'tween' games for them.  I would rather get them outdoors so am scouring the internet for ideas other than sporting equipment, as they have a lot of it already.  They also have a wide collection of board games....
If you have any suggestions, please feel free to leave a comment.

I have been creating Christmas cards over the last week or so, and am happy to say, have had orders for my cards, so have also been busy getting those made and delivered!

Here are a few of the Christmas cards I've created, I hope you like them.

I have thoroughly enjoyed making the cards.  If you would like to order some,  please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thank you for stopping by....  and remember to have a spectacular day!

Fish for Dinner?

Welcome, I do hope you all had a wonderful week.

Fishing, one of many birthday parties and bush walking were on the agenda last week.

Term 4 for school began a couple of weeks ago, yes I know, time is flying.... Owen, the youngest of our boys came home with 4 birthday party invitations!!  Saturday he attended the first one, enjoying ten-pin bowling, food and laser tag with his mates.

Brad, my man, and his son, Mitch, went on a fishing charter, leaving home at 2.30am Saturday morning excited and ready to conquer any ocean.  After spending 6 hours on a boat with lines submerged, they headed back to shore empty-handed.  Although feeling disappointed they both enjoyed the experience as well as their time together.

The weather over the weekend was glorious.  On Sunday we decided to take the boys to Daylesford for a picnic lunch, swimming, bush walking and....more fishing.

Daylesford is breathtakingly beautiful.

The boys exploring and then testing out the water, anxious to get in!

The water may have been a little cold for the boys, the ducks didn't seem to mind though.

Owen taking a hike with me whilst Gabriel tried to catch a fish for dinner...

A wonderful day was had by all, no fish were caught, so off  home we went to cook a beef casserole for dinner!!

Thank you for stopping by.

A Week of Birthdays and Creativity

Last week our family celebrated two birthdays, one being my step-son, the other being mine...our birthdays are one day after another! There seemed to be cake everywhere...but you can never have too much cake... (although, my waistline seems to tell me otherwise).
I was lucky enough to have a wonderful tasting chicken dinner (my girlfriend's recipe) cooked by my man and he also baked me a wonderful chocolate cake! I was very spoilt.
My step son requested a choc-mint cake and his requested dinner is Shepherds-Pie, cooked by his dad, my man, who IS such a wonderful cook. It's nice to have a night off here and there from cooking. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful person to share my life with.
The chicken dinner may not look too appetising, however, once you taste it you are in Food Heaven.

It's also been a week of creativity.  Creativity runs in our family, all our boys love giving their imaginations a good work out and create, create, create. My grandmother was very creative.  I share this passion with my aunt too, we are often sending pictures of our latest creations to each other! It's wonderful to be able to share this passion with her and now with you!
I have been requested by a lady at my man's workplace to create cards of all types for her, so I have been busy putting my stock to good use. I think I may be a closet 'craft hoarder'....

Sometimes I find when I don't over think a creation, it seems to work with so much ease.

Thank you for stopping by.

A Wonderful Weekend!

Our weekend was filled with a family get together, a wedding party and jet boating.  We had a ball and were all exhausted, but it was worth it!

Our family get together was at Werribee Open Range Zoo, an amazing place for young and old.  The safari bus tour gives everyone the opportunity to get close to the animals, a wonderful experience for all.

Majestic, large and cute...
and creatures of the two legged kind...

lots of trees to climb... rest up boys, jet boating at beautiful St Kilda tomorrow!

Finally... the card I made for our friends to celebrate their marriage.

Thank you for stopping by.

I would like to thank my wonderful partner for his dedication, constant support and encouragement... I am so grateful and blessed to have such a wonderful person in my life.

So, Welcome!.... Remember to start your day with a smile and that all of life's joys, no matter how big or small are only a moment's breath away!
